Ohio voters made history by enshrining abortion rights in the state constitution in November of 2023.

The landmark victory reflected our shared belief in the right to make personal medical decisions without government interference.

Now, Republican Gov. Mike DeWine and his administration are trying to undermine that victory by funneling millions from the state budget into anti-abortion centers — crisis pregnancy centers — entities known for spreading misinformation about abortion to coerce, deceive and manipulate pregnant people into carrying pregnancies to term. 

Despite growing public support across the country for protecting abortion access, DeWine shared his proposed state budget for the next two fiscal years, revealing the 40% increase in funding for crisis pregnancy centers. By increasing funding for crisis pregnancy centers, Republican lawmakers are ignoring the voice of Ohioans who voted overwhelmingly in favor of bodily autonomy and reproductive rights...
