Over the nearly two-decade period studied, starting in 2000, the initiative reduced colorectal cancer incidence and mortality by 30% and 50%, respectively, across all racial and ethnic groups, the analysis found. The program also largely eliminated racial disparities in cancer rates and deaths that were previously disproportionately high among Black patients.
