D.C. police said a woman was shot and killed in a Northwest hotel early Monday, marking the city’s first homicide of the new year. Metropolitan Police said the female victim, who wasn’t identified, was found inside a seventh-floor room with gunshot wounds at about 1:20 a.m. at the Embassy Suites on Military Road NW.
