Fact Check: Trump did not cut funding to cities promoting LGBT activism

President Donald Trump issued a flurry of executive orders in his first week in office, some of which targeted DEI programs. However, he did not sign an order that cut federal funding to cities that support and promote LGBT activism – contrary to posts on social media.

Since taking office on January 20, Trump has signed orders that rolled back policies implemented by the Biden administration, which included the protection of rights for LGBTQ+ people.
